The council’s Cumbernauld Village appraisal describes Main Street, Baronhill and The Wynd, with narrow wynds off Main Street and a winding, sloping street layout. For a Village address, ask the operator to assess the actual approach rather than assuming a small skip means a small delivery vehicle.

For a Village property, describe the whole approach
Send a clear description of the entrance, slope, proposed standing surface and any overhead obstruction. Give measurements where possible and ask which delivery vehicle would be used. For a town-centre job, give the premises name, unit and servicing entrance. Ask the manager about the agreed standing area and when delivery and collection can take place. A pedestrian route to the front door is not enough information for a lorry delivery.
